Our January to May campaign is all about the freshness
of Edinburgh in
Spring.Think Fresh Food, Fresh Fashion,
Fresh Air, Fresh Perspective.
We’ll be
using real people from Edinburgh to front the campaign including Martin Wishart
and Marina Crolla from Angels with Bagpipes. They’ll be giving us their top tips and telling us about ‘their’
Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Sparkles
The 2010 Edinburgh Sparkles campaign was our most
successful to date!As well as digital
advertising and print advertising in Manchester, Newcastle and London airports,
we also extended our reach to cover London tube stations, Glasgow train station
and the central belt. For the first time
ever we also secured coverage for Edinburgh in Grazia and Buzz magazines, an
8-page feature in EasyJet magazine, as well as coverage on STV and BBC.
Our activity such as the Snow Queen window trail, Mr
Snow, Tweet Treat Bus and Diamond Hunt on Real Radio also helped to raise the
profile of our campaign through social media. All of our activities encouraged people to visit our website which
received over 16,000 unique visitors in two months, up 153% on 2009. The evaluation
of this campaign is now being undertaken, you can see highlights of the
campaign on our Flickr Page
.

Follow Agnieszka
Gryckowska from Edinburgh Napier University, Matthew Macaulay from The
University of Edinburgh and Amy Shields & Rachael Cloughton from Edinburgh
College of Art as they give their account of life in the city, the challenges
of being a student, events, news and gossip.
Nearly 200 stakeholders joined us at the recent
information event at the National Museums of Scotland on 27 January. The event offered a great networking
opportunity, a good example of DEMA’s role in encouraging collaboration and cross-selling
between visit, invest, live, work and study.
