Destination Edinburgh Marketing Alliance (DEMA) - January update
Leithal Thinking (part of the Leith Agency) have been appointed to create the new Destination Promotion Strategy for DEMA. It is anticipated that the study will be concluded by the end of January 2009 which will then enable the production of the business case/plan for DEMA to enable a ‘soft’ launch of the Alliance in April 2009. Edinburgh is Open for Business
The Open for Business group which promotes Edinburgh's shops, businesses and attractions during the tram works have developed a series of podcasts available on the official Edinburgh City Region website. Promotional activity from Open for Business in the coming months includes a Janury Dining Deal, a virtual shopper website and a shopping magazine.

Occupancy Marketing in conjunction with Whitespace have been appointed to manage Edinburgh Inspiring Capital's Search Engine Optimisation and digital marketing. Occupancy Marketing is a full service Internet Marketing company specialising in the hotel, hospitality and leisure industry. Whitespace is a design agency which delivers high impact visual communication in print and online.

Edinburgh's vision unveiled at MAPIC 2008
Once again Edinburgh exhibited at MAPIC, the worlds premier retail property event. The Edinburgh stand was fully branded using the Edinburgh Inspiring Capital logo, colours, images and DVD. For more information about the event see the news section of the website.

Award season for Edinburgh Inspiring Capital
Edinburgh Inspiring Capital was a finalist in the Best Website category for the consumer portal website at the CIPR PRide awards in November 2008. City prepares for ETAG conference
The premier event in the business calendar for the Edinburgh Tourism and Hospitality industry will take place on Tuesday 17 March 2009 at the James Watt Centre, Edinburgh Conference Centre at Heriot Watt University The event will address the key challenges, aspirations and opportunities facing the industry to achieve its ambition of 50% revenue growth by 2015 as part of the Scottish Tourism Framework for Change programme.
