Boomer Industries, the Lisburn-based manufacturers in the design and provision of customised PVC extrusions, have been awarded the prestigious Excel Award for business Management & Leadership. Now in its fifth year, the EXCEL Award is organised by the Management & Leadership Network (MLN) in partnership with the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICC), to recognise Management and Leadership excellence in small and medium enterprises (SME’s).
The Award was received by MD Andrew Robinson, who along with HR Manager Janet Little entered the award charting the company’s journey from an MBO in 2001. It is fair to say that the initial years were difficult enough which caused a major rethink of the business model and the business strategy.
